Most commercial coconut yoghurt available is made from the same coconut cream that you buy in a tin! This can never be called a raw yoghurt as the coconut is pasteurized. The tins are also lined with thin plastics which can leach into your food along with metals from the tin itself.
Almond Milk is our kitchen's staple milk. We use it in many of our drinks and dessert recipes; almonds are one of the only alkalizing nuts and are a great source of vitamin E which helps your skin look lovely. If you don't have almonds, you cab sub for any of your favourite nuts including hazelnuts, brazil nuts, cashews and macadamias.
This simple dessert looks stunning on the dinner table. The strawberries are slightly mulled for a few hours so the flavours can develop. If you want to intensify the flavour for a more adult version add a few tablespoons of organic white wine, brandy or sake.
At The Unbakery, whenever any of us feels a cold coming on we immediately run to the fridge to grab ginger, turmeric, lemon and honey to make a flu tonic. It's our conditioned response! With this smoothie, we have recreated the same miraculous properties of our cold pressed flu tonic with some new immune-boosting additions.
