Banana Bread Walnut Caramel Choc Bark
This dreamy, nutty caramel chocolate bark is everything you need and want in a sweet treat. It contains whole foods like tahini and walnuts which add healthy fats and protein. It’s a chewy, crunchy and caramelly experience, that will really hit the spot.
Serves 8
Time to make: 10 mins + 1 hour to chill
Ingredients
150g dark vegan chocolate
1 Tbsp coconut oil
12 medjool dates, pitted (or any other soft date)
1/4 cup tahini or nut/seed butter of choice
1/3 cup Little Bird Organics Activated Banana Bread Walnuts, roughly chopped
sea salt flakes
Method
1. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in a bowl (you can do this over a bowl of hot water, being careful not to overheat it or get any water into it).
2. Flatten, split and lay out dates onto a lined tray, the softer the better.
3. Drizzle over tahini or your chosen nut butter. Roughly chop banana bread walnuts and sprinkle over the top. Press down so the nuts are nestled in well.
4. Evenly pour over the melted chocolate.
5. Sprinkle with sea salt and place in the fridge or freezer for at least an hour or until set.
6. Break apart and devour! This bark can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer for 1-2 months.
