Our Hojicha Hot Chocolate blends roasted, nutty Hojicha with deep cacao, creating a soothing yet invigorating drink that’s equally suited as an evening treat or an energizing morning ritual.
The roasted tea brings warm, earthy notes that elevate the cacao, delivering a hint of L-theanine for calm, focus and a boost of antioxidants. It’s a harmonious pairing that’s delightful hot or refreshing iced in Summer.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoons Little Bird Magical Mushroom Drinking Chocolate
- 1/4 teaspoon Matcha Matcha Hojicha powder
- 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup Otis Oat milk
- Vegan Marshmallows or Whipped coconut cream (for topping)
- Optional: a sprinkle of Drinking Chocolate or Grated Choc/Chocolate stick
Instructions:
Place the drinking chocolate, hojicha powder and maple syrup into a large mug or matcha bowl and combine with ¼ cup of hot water, stirring until combined and the chocolate chunks have dissolved.
Steam or heat your milk using a coffee machine or milk frother. Alternatively, heat 1 cup of milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking/burning. Then whisk until you get some froth to it.
Pour the milk on-top of the Hojicha mixture and enjoy this warm delicious drink!
